How SEO Can Make Your Income Grow

If you're a chiropractor who relies on referrals to keep your practice busy, you might be wondering — "Do I really need to care about SEO?"
In a word: YES.
In my latest podcast episode of Financially Adjusted, I talked with SEO pro Carrie Saunders of BCS Engineering, and she gave an incredible breakdown of how local SEO works and why it matters so much for physical businesses like yours.
What is SEO and Why Does It Matter for Chiropractors?
SEO stands for “Search Engine Optimization,” which is a fancy way of saying “how people find you on Google.” For chiropractors, that means showing up when someone searches “chiropractor near me” or “help for back pain [city name].”
Here’s what Carrie says you should be doing:
- Put your location and keywords everywhere it counts – Your homepage, titles, headings, and even your image descriptions.
- Break out your services into separate pages – Don’t lump everything into one “services” tab. Have pages for pediatric care, sports injury care, and nutritional supplements if you offer them.
- Set up and maintain your Google Business Profile – It’s free and it shows up before your website most of the time!
- Ask for Google Reviews – Not just any reviews. Get your happy patients to leave Google reviews — because Google trusts itself.
- Create an FAQ or blog section – Use it to answer common questions like “Should I see a chiropractor for migraines?” This increases your searchability and builds trust.

If you want more consistent traffic and new patients walking through your doors, SEO is a smart, sustainable way to do it. Like any good adjustment — it might take a few visits to really feel the impact, but once it kicks in… it can be game-changing.
